Campus West pantomime review: Dazzling fun from a truly talented team –

The latest festive pantomime at Campus West in Welwyn Garden City surpassed all my expectations, providing a fantastic afternoon of dazzling fun for all the family.
Written by Jojo Panto Scripts and directed by Jonas Cemm, Cinderella ended its 46-show run at Campus West with a bang on Sunday, January 4, and I was lucky enough to catch the final performance.
I have to admit I was apprehensive going in – I haven’t been to a pantomime for more than a decade and wasn’t sure what to expect.
But within minutes, my nerves were laid to rest and I realised I was in the hands of a genuinely very talented team.

Over the last few Years Campus West have proved you don’t need star names and big effects to put on a spectacular pantomime, and this years offering is no exception.
Once again written by the great writing duo of JoJo Pantomimes – Jonas Cemm (who also directs) and Joe Sargent (who also plays Dandini), the show starts as it means to go on, full of energy and sparkle, and there are some very clever moments in a script which never misses a beat.

Welwyn Garden City’s Campus West has announced the return of its beloved annual pantomime, this year it’s Sleeping Beauty, crafted by dynamic duo Jonas Cemm and Joe Sargent from JoJo Panto Scripts.
Since 2021, audiences at the Hertfordshire venue – just 40 minutes from London – have been captivated by their fresh takes on classic tales.
Cemm returns as director and co-writer, while Sargent takes on the role of the charming King Wally of Welwyn. Their signature mix of humour and heart promises this year’s production will be their best yet.
Sleeping Beauty has been announced as the Campus West’s pantomime for this Christmas.
Once again written by Jonas Cemm and Joe Sargent, the duo will bring magic, laughter and plenty of surprises to the Welwyn Garden City venue with their telling of the classic tale.

Robin Hood rides into Welwyn Garden City for a 50th anniversary in 2023
JoJo Panto Scripts once again set up the caper for Campus West’s annual family pantomime. This Christmas it’s Robin Hood and will be part of celebrations to commemorate fifty years of Campus West.
